Aleah Hockin
Aleah has worked as a backcountry guide for numerous winters guiding mostly men. She has been a backcountry rider for over 20 years. Believing in the number of women in the sport and the gender communication gap, Aleah saw a need to create a safe, fun, empowering environment for women to progress their snowmobiling skills. Aleah coaches women on how to become confident, comfortable, and competent in the back-country.
Aleah Hockin is a backcountry snowmobile guide and coach. She started Savage Sledderz to help empower women in the backcountry, whether to hone snowmobiling skills or just help women feel more confident shuttling skiers and boarders. Aleah is CPR, first-aid, and avalanche certified. She is available for group or individual coaching or just a guided ride.

A.J. Stoffle
A.J. grew up in Northwest Colorado where his passion for snowmobiling originates. He grew up hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling every chance he got.
For 17 years, A.J. raced snocross. He won many Colorado state championships as well as a bronze medal from winter X-Games.
Later in his career, A.J. made podiums on the national snocross circuit, finishing his last season in the pro-lite class. He got the opportunity to race over seas at Clash of Nations in Sweden.
When A.J. decided to hang up the racing boots, he knew backcountry riding was where he could still get his snowmobiling fix. This pushed him into becoming a student of the new age backcountry riding.
A.J. absolutely fell in love with the never ending challenges to be had. After a couple of years enjoying riding in the backcountry, he began guiding and coaching backcountry riding.

Riding a snowmobile in the mountains grants me a profound sense of freedom and serenity.
I have about 10+ years experience riding in the back country and this will be my 2nd year helping coach. I love sharing my passion for snowmobiling with enthusiastic riders, both new and experienced.
My goal is to help you learn the foundational skills to build you into a better rider that will help you not feel intimidated by the sport. Instilling a deep appreciation for the sport while emphasizing safety and responsible riding is key. I look forward to building women’s confidence in riding and can’t wait for another exciting season of adventure and camaraderie.

28 years coaching extreme sports. It all started out with coaching water skiing, snowboarding, and skateboarding. And naturally progressed into guiding and coaching snowmobiling. I feel very fortunate to share what I love with other people. And progressing each individual’s abilities.
